The Levels of Consciousness Psychiatry Denies | Brian Stafford

Brian Stafford, MD, is a psychiatrist, board member and training director at the Animas Valley Institute, the organization founded by depth psychologist Bill Plotkin PhD and known for its work on nature-based human development. In this conversation with Hans Busstra, Stafford reflects on his remarkable transition from a successful academic career in psychiatry to guiding wilderness-based practices aimed at what he calls an “eco-awakening”: a shift from an ego-centric to an eco-centric mode of consciousness.

Drawing on the work of Plotkin, Carl Jung, and his own clinical and personal experience as a wilderness guide, Stafford argues that many forms of psychological suffering are rooted in a deeper ecological disconnection. Rather than viewing the psyche primarily through the lens of pathology and symptom reduction, he proposes that psychiatry should recover a richer understanding of the psyche as a living reality embedded within both nature and the symbolic life of dreams, imagination, and meaning.

Cognitive Scientist: Our “Reality” Is An Illusion (Here’s The Proof) | Donald Hoffman

Cognitive scientist and UC Irvine professor Donald Hoffman, author of The Case Against Reality, presents mathematical evidence from evolutionary game theory that the probability any organism has ever perceived reality as it truly is equals zero. Hoffman introduces the Trace Logic mathematical model of consciousness and argues that brains are perceptual interfaces rendered by a single universal consciousness, that spacetime falls apart at the Planck scale, and that consciousness, not neural activity, is the fundamental nature of reality.

This Physicist (Unexpectedly) Derived Gravity from Information

What if gravity is just entropy in disguise? Professor Erik Verlinde joins me to argue that gravity isn’t a fundamental force—it’s thermodynamic, emerging from quantum information the way gas pressure emerges from molecules bouncing around. We explore why spacetime may be stitched together by entanglement, and how dark energy and dark matter both pop out automatically without extra particles or parameters. Verlinde explains why the cosmological constant problem is a red herring, and why there may be no final theory of physics. When asked where the universe comes from, his answer is one word: chaos.

The Physicist Who Proved Entropy = Gravity

What if gravity is not fundamental but emerges from quantum entanglement? In this episode, physicist Ted Jacobson reveals how Einstein’s equations can be derived from thermodynamic principles of the quantum vacuum, reshaping our understanding of space, time, and gravity itself.

A Neurosurgeon’s Proof of an Immortal Soul | Dr. Michael Egnor

“Neuroscientists who stand up and say ‘we have souls’ are few and far between,” says pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Michael Egnor. “But when you look carefully at the neuroscience—the best neuroscience over the past century—it clearly points to the existence of the soul and to the existence of aspects of our mind that don’t come from the brain.” Egnor himself started off as a materialist and atheist. But 40 years and more than 7,000 brain surgeries later, he concluded that reason and free will do not reside in the brain. In this episode, he reveals what he’s found. “Neuroscience is just fundamentally wrong in a lot of ways … because of the materialist bias in neuroscience. We can’t get away from this machine analogy, [but] we’re not machines, and we don’t work like machines work. And there’s overwhelming evidence in neuroscience for the existence of a soul,” he says. Dr. Egnor is a professor of neurosurgery and pediatrics at Stony Brook University, a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute, and the co-author of the book “The Immortal Mind: A Neurosurgeon’s Case for the Existence of the Soul.”

Francis Lucille: A Masterclass In Non-Duality

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocOO0cdSnJ0[/embedyt]

Francis Lucille, originally trained in mathematics and physics, is a contemporary spiritual teacher in the Advaita Vedanta tradition, highly regarded for his clear and experiential articulation of non-duality. In this conversation with Natalia Vorontsova, Lucille explains that Advaita Vedanta is grounded in a single axiom: there is only one reality, which he equates with consciousness. The apparent multiplicity of selves, worlds, bodies, and minds is an appearance arising within this one consciousness. An important value of Advaita Vedanta, in the myriad of idealist spiritual traditions, is that it focuses not so much on achieving altered states of consciousness, but rather offers a method to recognize that consciousness is the single, universal reality.

Towards A New Physics Of Living Systems and Consciousness

Physicist and physician Dr. Anita Goel has designed the equivalent of the double slit experiment in a living system, to test if the nanomachines that read and write DNA could operate quantum mechanically. In this interview with Hans Busstra, Goel talks about her experiment and explores the new theoretical framework it could lead to: a new physics to understand life, living systems and consciousness. Hans Busstra interviewed Dr. Goel after her presentation at the Science of Consciousness Conference in Barcelona (7 October 2025), this full presentation in which she describes her experiment in detail can we watched here:    • 2025 TSC  – Barcelona Plenary 10 – Quantum…   Dr. Anita Goel is a physicist, physician, and pioneering nanotechnology entrepreneur whose work bridges quantum physics, biomedicine, nanotech, and AI. She is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Nanobiosym Research Institute and Nanobiosym Diagnostics (https://www.nanobiosym.com), where she developed the Gene-RADAR, winner of the first XPRIZE in healthcare. Recognized by MIT Technology Review as one of the world’s top science and tech innovators and by Scientific American as a leading biotech visionary, she has also earned three DARPA Breakthrough Awards and consistently appears on global top-35 and top-100 lists in nanotech and engineering.

The nature of reality – With Darius J. Wright

Darius J. Wright explains how he started to have out of body experiences since childhood, and how he experiences the other side. He explains what the different dimensions are beyond our 3D reality, and how our memory has been erased to make us forget where we are and who we are as souls. Use Your Mind To HEAL THE BODY & Boost Your IMMUNE SYSTEM!” | Joe Dispenza & Mark Hyman

I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of human potential and the mind-body connection. Time and time again, I’ve seen that mindset is a defining factor in how successful my patients are on their healing journey. The mind-body connection is a powerful one, so much so that there are numerous reports of spontaneous remission of chronic pain and diseases when people change their headspace. How we think and feel creates our state of being. Digging into our subconscious thoughts and beliefs and redefining how we see our future can have real, long-lasting impacts on our physical health. I was so excited to sit down with Dr. Joe Dispenza to talk about his work in mind-body medicine, helping people overcome their biggest obstacles and form new, healthy, limitless lives. Dr. Joe’s passion can be found at the intersection of the latest findings from the fields of neuroscience, epigenetics, and quantum physics to explore the science behind spontaneous remissions. He uses that knowledge to teach people how to heal their bodies of health conditions, make significant changes in their lives, and evolve their consciousness.
